While many race applications already use solid roller lifters, COMP Cams® has found a way to make them lighter, stronger, and overall better than ever before. At the 2018 PRI Show, Jay Adams was on hand to introduce the newly improved Race XD™ Bushed Solid Roller Lifter design.

The key to this line is lightweight strength, “These are built with removable and replaceable pushrod seat cups,” said COMP’s Jay Adams. “They accommodate the centered 5/16-inch or 3/8-inch ball pushrod, or if you need extra clearance, we offer special seats to allow for that as well.”

While there are many features in this line that make it a superior design, the ability to lubricate more efficiently with an oiling system ensure the constant lubrication of the wheel and axle. Other outstanding characteristics include the proprietary bronze alloy wheels and strong oversized link bars connect the individual lifters.

“We took all the features that people liked in the Elite line and rolled it into this lifter,” said Adams. “We took it the extra step to make it much lighter, much stronger, and even more durable than even the Elite lifters were.”

The special COMP REM-finished lifter bodies ensure a smooth surface for reduced wear on the bore, while an optional DLC-coated lifter body is available to absolutely minimize friction.
