The most anticipated automotive trade show kicks off soon, and here’s what you can expect.
The SEMA Show is an event that has been tested over the last several years: navigating the pandemic, supply chain issues, and automakers moving away from aftermarket support have been challenging. Despite the hurdles, the coordinators and exhibitors continue to adapt to ensure all the industry professionals can come together in one place. As the Edelbrock Group of performance brands prepares information and parts to exhibit, here’s what you can expect from SEMA Show 2022.

The annual SEMA Show is where you find the latest in aftermarket technology. Taking place from November 1-4 in Las Vegas, the four-day event brings together producers of automotive aftermarket parts. Putting every manufacturer under the same roof(s) keeps the entire industry more competitive and cultivates innovation each year the show brings the industry professionals together in one place. It keeps everyone on their toes, challenging all brands to stay on the trends, get ahead of the curve, and remain at the forefront of the industry. If it’s not at SEMA, it’s an upward battle for the whole industry, from automotive journalists to the engineers, to drivers, to partners, to the brand ambassadors, to know about it.

“Enthusiasm for the 2022 Show continues to exceed last year’s, with more than 1 million sq. ft. of exhibitor space already committed for the 2022 SEMA Show and confirmed spaces are running 25% above last year,” said Warren Kosikov, SEMA vice president of sales.
Gearhead celebrities are often found roaming the halls, and this year, celebrity car builder, Chip Foose, has been named the official artist of this year’s trade show.

“This opportunity is allowing me to be creative in a different fashion. Usually, my drawings have been a tool to build the final art, which are the cars we create at Foose design, but these drawings are the final art to be used at the SEMA show,” said Foose. “I’m excited to entertain and connect with SEMA Show attendees in a new way.”

Jay Leno, Keith Urban, and Bill Goldberg have become SEMA celebrity staples.
The Edelbrock Group is hard at work finalizing its new product catalog that will have some exciting innovations to show customers. We can’t give away all the secrets, but you can expect new offerings from all brands, including the Edelbrock VRS-4150 race carburetor and power adders like turbos and superchargers. COMP Cams will, of course, have some new cams to show off, but it also has some really trick hydraulic lifters and shaft rockers for LS/LT engines. Don’t worry; there is something on offer for fans of any of the big three domestic companies, so all you Mopar and Ford fans will have something to look at too.
Despite some automakers moving away from the SEMA Show due to budget cutbacks, the enthusiasm is stronger than ever. Aftermarket companies can now concentrate on the business at hand in their absence. With an uptick in registration over last year, indicators are strong that face-to-face events, such as SEMA, are alive and well, even in this digital age.
