After a headquarter relocation and complete renovation, it was time to celebrate!

It took the effort of many and careful planning to execute, but the official Edelbrock Group headquarters is now fully renovated and operational. Now located in Olive, Branch, Mississippi, the new headquarters and manufacturing operations hosted a ribbon-cutting grand opening on Friday, with a special grand opening cruise-In on Sunday.

As you probably already know, Edelbrock merged with COMP Performance Group. The performance group now makes 700-800 camshafts and 400-500 aluminum manifolds every single day. Edelbrock Group brands include Edelbrock LLC, COMP Cams, Fuel Air Spark Technology (FAST), TCI Automotive, and Russell Performance. Cumulatively, these brands represent over 200 years in racing and street performance. The move from California to Olive Branch, Mississippi, created an estimated 200 new jobs.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Edelbrock Group President and CEO Tim Jones shared some facts about the headquarters:

  • Corporate Revenue is $235 million
  • Total Manufacturing Space is 457,000 sq. feet
  • Total Distribution Space is 200,000 sq. feet
  • Seven Manufacturing Facilities
  • Features 1 Distribution Centers

Local and state dignitaries including DeSoto County Supervisor Ray Denison and Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams were in attendance for the ribbon-cutting and dedication. Edelbrock partner and NHRA driver Clay Millican fired up his Top Fuel dragster and almost quite literally christened the building by breaking the first window.

Clay making his mark is the perfect way to start the new era at the headquarters. He signed off on his work so his mark will be forever immortalized.

It’s okay Clay, that was actually pretty cool, and now the employees have one heck of a story to tell any visitors to the building. Who else can make the claim that a six-time World Champion busted their windows out? It was very appropriate for the day.

Employees and guests had the opportunity to get a full tour of the offices. production areas, and warehousing.

To really make the building personalized for all the employees to enjoy, a local graffiti artist was commissioned to make this awesome wall mural.

Even though the rain posed some challenges, the grand opening celebration was an absolute success, and everyone in attendance helped make it special.

After a day to refuel, Sunday was an equally exciting event, as Edelbrock hosted a cruise-In to celebrate the Grand Opening with employees and customers. With the Hot Rod Power Tour kicking off in Memphis the next day, attendance was expected to be high.

Some people arrived as much as two hours early, coming from all over the world, including Washington state and even New Zealand! Guided tours of the facility were a highlight. There were an estimated 360 people who were able to see the inner workings of the building. Braving 95-degree weather, the car count was estimated at well over 400 cars for the cruise-in.

The Edelbrock Group cannot fully express how special the day was, and how grateful we are to every single person who attended Friday and/or Sunday. We are thrilled to now officially call Olive Branch home! Good luck to all the Power Tour participants as they start their week-long journey!
