At the NMRA Spring Break Shootout Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, the Steeda Motorsports Mustang was (almost literally) flying down the track. After a long week of prep, the “Silver Bullet” had a new setup to test out, and some big news you’ll want to know about.
When the Steeda team got to Bradenton, it was time to make the big announcement we’ve all been tight-lipped about; Edelbrock and Steeda have teamed up to giveaway an Edelbrock Supercharger.
The Silver Bullet Mustang is the R&D car for Steeda Motorsports to test components on, with a specific emphasis on being a street car that can put up a good fight on the track. Steeda’s Silver Bullet S550 was the first naturally-aspirated 2018 Mustang to dip into the 10s with nothing more than some carefully chosen bolt-ons on the Gen 3 Coyote engine. After achieving that goal, Steeda got the Mustang into the 9s with some further work, like a COMP Cams Stage 3 NA camshaft. But 9s just didn’t feel fast enough.
As with many Mustang builds that need to crank things up a few notches, this is where the race-proven Edelbrock Supercharger system came into play.
