Lights Out 17 — SGMP Is About to Shake

Lights Out

If you’re a fan of small-tire chaos, big power, and zero margin for error, Lights Out 17 by Duck X Productions needs no introduction. The baddest radial cars in the world are headed back to South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) in Adel, February 19–22, for the second stop on the Radial Outlaws Racing Series.

Lights Out isn’t just another race on the calendar. It’s the proving ground where new combinations get tested, off-season changes get validated—or exposed—and reputations are either reinforced or rewritten under the lights. If the U.S. Street Nationals in Bradenton was the appetizer, Lights Out should be one heck of an entree. Lights Out is where teams can either make up for a bad showing in Bradenton or solidify their dominance if they had a good one.

Lights Out – The Fastest Radial Cars on the Planet

Radial vs. The World will once again headline the weekend with a $30,000-to-win jackpot. If history tells us anything, the numbers will be unbelievable. These aren’t just quick cars; they are purpose-built, no-compromise machines engineered to push the limits of what a radial tire can handle.

Pro 275 ($20k to win), X275 ($10k to win), Limited Drag Radial ($10k to win), Ultra Street ($5k to win), and more will pack the property with stacked fields from top to bottom. There are no easy rounds at Lights Out. You qualify, or you go home. Period.

And that’s exactly why fans love it. Expect the place to be packed to the gills; it wouldn’t be the first time they had to turn spectators away!

The Second Big Test of the Season

The radial season already kicked off at the U.S. Street Nationals in Bradenton, but Lights Out is where things tighten up.

Bradenton gave teams their first real look at how their off-season work stacked up. By the time they roll into SGMP, the data has been reviewed, the weak links have been addressed, and the tune-ups have been sharpened. Lights Out becomes the second major statement race of the year, where contenders start separating themselves from the rest of the field.

Expect revised combinations, more aggressive tuning, and teams leaning on what they learned in Florida to push even harder in Georgia. And expect the track surface at South Georgia Motorsports Park to be as competitive as the racers themselves. SGMP has become synonymous with elite radial racing, and the prep will be ready for whatever these teams throw at it.

More Than Just Racing

Lights Out has evolved into more than a race—it’s an event. The pits are full of some of the most advanced performance machinery in the country. Fans get up-close access to teams thrashing between rounds, tuning on laptops, swapping parts, and chasing hundredths.

It’s raw, loud, and real.

For the hardcore performance crowd, this is where innovation happens in real time. Power adders pushed harder. Fuel systems refined. Engine packages optimized. It’s the same relentless pursuit of performance we live every day.

EG Nation Will Be At Lights Out

At Edelbrock Group, performance isn’t theoretical—it’s proven. Events like Lights Out showcase exactly why innovation and durability matter when everything is on the line. Radial racing demands precision. It demands parts that survive extreme cylinder pressure, aggressive tuning, and back-to-back passes. That’s the environment where true performance brands stand out.

Edelbrock Group will have our pop-up tent there to support those who need technical support. Stop by and say hello to Jesse or Michael and find out about some of the new products, like the VRS-4150 we have available, or pick up some merch. We will be there all week to cover the action, so be sure to check our Facebook and Instagram social media pages each day to see what we capture! Lights Out 17 will be loud, fast, and unforgiving. Just the way it should be.

Bradenton lit the fuse. South Georgia is where the pressure builds.

See you at the starting line, and look forward to some galleries after the event!
